Sasa Kalajdzic (born 7th of July, 1997) is a professional soccer player from Vienna in Austria. Kalajdžić spent the begging of his career in the Tipp3 Bundesliga, Regionalliga, and the Bundesliga 2 before breaking through on the big stage for VfB Stuttgart in the German Bundesliga. Kalajdžić is a big man, measuring 200cm tall. Despite his height and aerial presence, Kalajdžić is a technically gifted forward player, as he proved in 2020-21 for Stuttgart, scoring 16 league goals with a solid 5 assists in 33 appearances. Enough to place him 6th in the top scorer table.

Club Career

Sasa Kalajdzic started out his soccer in Austria Tipp3 Bundesliga and Regionalliga West, playing for Admira Wacker. Having scored 8 league goals in 15 games for Admira Wacker in 2018-19, Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart signed Kalajdzic before the 2019-20 season.

International Career

Kalajdzic made his debut for the Austrian national side on the 14th of October 2020 in the Nations League versus Romania at the Stadionul Ilie Oană – Ploiesti. He came on as a substitute in the 90th minute1. Kalajdzic has been quick off the mark and scored twice in Austria’s World Cup qualifier against Scotland in a 2-2 draw at Hampden Park in 20212.

Despite his lanky frame and height, there is more to Kalajdzic’s game than just being a target man in the air. He is a technical player, relatively quick, and possesses great finishing ability. Being right-footed, his left foot isn’t much worse, making him a well-rounded center-forward.
